I am on a Mac using Mail and doing some development to test error email handling. A preliminary test email shows the following:
The above is just a test to see what happens when the volume is not mounted using the invalid name "xBackup". However, something is unexpectedly putting in the "friendly" address of "Urgent !!Coronavirus".
I checked my previous recipients, my contact list, all other email, the code base for our website and aliases in our mail server using postfix and it is nowhere to be found. Googling "Urgent !!Coronovirus" also shows nothing.
Since this issue seems to have something to do with the webmaster mailbox, as a second test, I sent email from my personal account to webmaster@rephunter.net and got the following:
